Tales From The Crypt

Recently my upline had a shoebox swap.  We all had to make a card and then cut all the material for everyone else to make that card.  I got some awesome ideas from my fellow demonstrators.  Since Halloween is just around the corner, I thought today I would share this card I made that was created by Diana Cavarra.

Stamps:
From the Crypt
All Holidays — **See Note Below

Ink:
Basic Black
Daffodil Delight

Paper:
Perfect Plum –  5  1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Folded to make the card base
Basic Black – 3″ x 4 1/4″ & Scraps for Bats
Pumpkin Pie – 2  3/4″ x 4″
Whisper White – 2  1/2″ x 3  3/4″

Accessories:
Big Shot and Spider Web Embossing Folder
Daffodil Delight 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon
Bitty Bat Punch
Dimensionals (For Bats)
Post It Note and 1  3/4″ Circle Punch — To make the moon
Sponges

**The greeting actually says “Happy Halloween”, however when I stamped it I messed up the “Happy” part.  I strategically placed one of my bats over the mistake.  LOL

Tomb it may concern — have a hauntingly happy Halloween!

Ghostly Halloween

I totally cased this card from Sheila Thibault. Her card is here: http://ilovfmly.blogspot.com/2010/09/more-halloween.html

I actually like her greeting panel better, but I didn’t have the punch she used. At the time I made this card I also didn’t have the stamp set “Wicked Fun” – I do now, because it is such a great addition to the card. Thanks for sharing your work Sheila.

I just loved those little ghosts.  To make the ghosts, use the Two-Step Owl Punch.  Cut off the owl’s feet, turn him upside down and viola — you have an adorable little ghost!

Stamps:
Grateful Greetings

Ink:
Basic Black – Greeting
Always Artichoke – To sponge the grass
Pumpkin Pie – To sponge the pumpkins

Paper:
Crumb Cake – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Folded to make the card base and 2 1/4″ x 1  1/4″ for the Greeting
Basic Black – 5 1/4″ x 4″
Old Olive – 1  1/4″ x 4″ for Grass & Scraps for the Leaves
Soft Suede – To Freehand the Pumpkin Stem
Whisper White
Pumpkin Pie

Accessories:
Big Shot and Spider Web Embossing Folder
Two-Step Bird Punch (For Leaves)
2″ x 1 3/8″ Oval Punch
3/16″ Corner Punch
Wiggly Eyes
Dimensionals (for Greeting)

Have a spectacularly spooky Halloween!
